Founded in 1980, by Bradford A. Dean CEO, Dean Warehouse Services, Inc. has grown to be one of the largest privately held supply chain management firms in the United States. Dean’s network of facilities contains upwards of two million square feet of space nationwide. Providing customers with warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment solutions, Dean’s business has been built on a history of family values and commitment to superior service. The continued growth of Dean’s business is due to the commitment to the customer and providing the highest level of service coupled with state of the art distribution systems which provide the widest range of value added services to all of our customers.

Leadership

Bradford A. Dean, Chief Executive Officer

Brad Dean has served as CEO of Dean Warehouse since its founding in 1980. He has spent his entire career in warehousing, logistics, transportation, and supply chain management. His vision and creativity has driven the development of the Dean business-model. Over the past 30 years, he has built the organization to be one of the most innovative supply chain management firms. And, he has created one of the industry’s strongest management teams that include a dozen top regional professionals. He is the supporter of numerous philanthropic initiatives in Northern Rhode Island and serves on a variety of business and community boards.

Bradford S. Dean, President

Continuing in the family tradition, Brad Dean has worked at Dean Warehouse much of his life. As the son of Dean’s CEO, he has grown up at Dean Warehouse, acquiring extensive knowledge of the warehousing, logistics, and transportation business. He serves as a member of the State of Rhode Island’s Worker Compensation Board. He is a graduate of the International Warehouse Logistics Association at Ohio State University. He earned an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Finance from St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT.

Joe Iovini, Executive Vice President

Joe Iovini is the Vice President for Dean Warehouse. Joe began his career at Roadway Express, a national less than truckload common carrier in operations and sales management roles. While at Roadway, he gained his law degree at the New England School of Law and is a licensed attorney in the District of Columbia, Rhode Island and the Federal Bar and has provided consultative advice to many clients in the areas of interstate commerce and global supply chain issues and also assisted in lobbying efforts pertaining to various transportation initiatives. His next role was with a large privately held consumer products manufacturer and importer as General Manager responsible for logistics, operations and distribution strategies as a supplier to retailers, home centers and mass merchandisers nationwide in addition to Canada and Mexico. Joe is a member of the University of Rhode Island Supply Chain Management Board of Advisors and a part time faculty member in the College of Business Administration.

Christopher Goodfellow, Vice President of Information Technology

Chris Goodfellow brings his 20 plus years in information technology to Dean Warehouse Services with extensive knowledge in systems integration, database management, software development, infrastructure design & support, and data center management.  His education in engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester Massachusetts gives him a strong problem solving approach to building and managing information technology.  Prior to Dean Warehouse, Chris was the Director of IT at a world class pet product company, a Corporate Manager at a regional restaurant chain, and brings an entrepreneurial and small business acumen from his prior self-owned IT consulting firm.

Chris Castelli, Vice President of Operations

Chris graduated from Mansfield High School and attended the University of Rhode Island majoring in business from 1988-1991. He then worked for a leading furniture wholesaler from 1987-2004. While with the Furniture Wholesaler, Chris moved through the ranks and became the warehouse manager in 1992 and then Director of Distribution and Logistics 1998-2004. Chris also worked for the largest independently owned Pet supply distributor in the world from 2004-2011 as the Warehouse manager and director of distribution and logistics. Chris Joined the Dean Warehouse Team in January 2012 as their west coast V.P. of Operations until July 2015 when he became the V.P of Operations for all Dean Facilities nationally.
